About Tim

Tim has a BSc (Hons) degree in Physical Geography and a Masters degree in Environmental Management. 

Tim helps lead DHA’s Environmental Planning Team and has an excellent understanding of the natural environment, its processes and how they influence spatial planning and individual developments.

 

Tim leads, manages and co-ordinates planning applications across various sectors particularly energy, agricultural and industrial projects.

 

Tim also advises clients on environmental legislation, risk, consent and strategy regarding Environmental Impact Assessment including for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs). He also provides consultancy advice to Local Authorities to assist them in fulfilling their obligations under these regimes and he is a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Recent key projects include:

 

  • Preparation, co-ordination and management of a successful planning application for a scheme comprising restoration and part conversion of a Grade I listed building to a wedding venue, construction of a new secondary and up to 181 dwellings near Rochester.
  • Planning consent for a 24MW solar farm near Dover in Kent.
  • Planning consent for 30,000 tonnes per annum anaerobic digestion facility near Dartford in Kent.
  • Planning consent for 15,000 tonnes per annum green waste composting operation.
  • Planning consent for a new ‘mansion house’ within a Scheduled Monument, in Leeds, Kent.
  • Co-ordination of an environmental statement for up to 2,500 dwellings in Bobbing, Kent.
  • Co-ordination of an environment statement for a Nationally Significant solar scheme in Derbyshire.

 

In his spare time, Tim likes to fish, paddleboard and develop his green fingers in the garden.
