Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to the activities that DHA completes to give back to the community and the environment. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) however, characterises business related measures, which impact the performance of DHA.

Despite the differences, DHA acknowledges many crossovers between CSR and ESG. Our Framework therefore looks to run the two programs simultaneously focussing on three main areas – Environmental, Social and Financial, with the aims of the Framework being:

  • To provide a business model in which to operate which enhances society and the environment;
  • To improve various aspects of society as well as promote a positive company brand; and
  • With use of a corporate responsibility program raise morale within the workplace.

The Framework is a live document which is expected to evolve with the needs of the business and its employees. The Framework is supported by a Steering Group who monitor its progress and provide quarterly updates. DHA understands that environmental responsibility is the pillar of corporate social responsibility and focuses on preserving the world around us.

The social aspect of the Framework focuses on how DHA impacts society and its employees. It is recognised that DHA can positively contribute to fairness in society, investing in fair and equal opportunities. This section includes both ethical and philanthropic responsibilities. With regard to finance the Framework refers to decision making and reporting when running the business.
