The team now comprises of six team members, offering viability support across our Kent, London and Gatwick offices.

 

Throughout 2024, the team successfully provided viability advice on a range of schemes, across over 20 local planning authorities in London and the Southeast. This included advising on over 2,500 residential units, extra care schemes, commercial floorspace, community facilities and a football stadium.

 

DHA’s head of Development Viability Danielle Lawrence who has worked at DHA since 2014 reflects on progress over the last 12-18 months:

 

It’s a really exciting time to be heading the team and involved with development viability. Our exposure across the three DHA offices has brought with it a real mix of projects and in the last year we have seen a significant uptick in the quantum of viability projects we have been working on. This is not just limited to affordable housing, but also providing viability advice on heritage assets, vacant building credits, revisiting S106 agreements and feasibility studies, all of which is complemented by our combined planning knowledge and experience.”

 

The team expanded further in July 2024, with the appointment of Paddy Good as an Associate Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer, with over 15 years of experience. Paddy reflects on some of the work undertaken since joining DHA 10 months ago:

 

I joined the team in DHA’s Kent office in 2024 after a decade in Central London and it is great to be part of a busy team who work on a huge variety of projects. Highlights of the last year include advising on the deliverability of several large-scale office conversions, justifying the conversion of rural units to residential and assessments of larger suburban strategic sites.”
