DHA worked to ensure support from the local town and Parish Councils for the greenfield proposal, which included 275 homes, employment land fronting the A38, a cinema, care home and extensive public open space. Only two objections were received.
DHA had previously secured planning permission for a Premier Inn Hotel and Pub adjacent to the site.
