EIA Associate Director

Due to growing demand across our project portfolio, we are looking to appoint an Associate/Associate Director to strengthen our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy and collaborative consultancy, supporting the delivery of a wide range of EIA projects across multiple sectors. We are seeking a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, is comfortable managing competing priorities, and is keen to contribute across all stages of the EIA process while helping to shape and grow the team’s capability.

The role offers flexibility in location and may be based out of our Kent, Gatwick or London offices, with regular collaboration across all three and involvement in projects throughout the UK.

The day to day role would include:

Preparation of EIA Screening and Scoping Requests
Managing and compiling Environmental Statements, including preparation of introductory chapters and topic chapter templates
Co-ordinating and reviewing topic specialist inputs and integrating those into Environmental Statements
Acting as direct point of contact between clients and wider project teams

The ideal candidate would have:

Minimum of five years experience in an environmental or planning consultancy/public sector environment
Relevant degree / masters in Environment and Development/ Environmental Policy/ Planning
Practioner member or above of ISEP
Experience in co-ordinating EIAs across a wide range of projects
Comfortable/sufficiently experienced to lead aspects of EIA co-ordination without direct Director supervision
Ideal but not necessary - experience of NSIP projects
