In this article, DHA Planning presents the Summer 2025 edition of our South East England and London Local Plan and Housing Update, available [here]. You can also explore the data interactively via our Local Plan and Housing Update Map below.
Local Plan and Housing Delivery Test Update August 2025 Interactive Map
The update covers seven regions across the South East, including London, and features a clear overview of both the Plan-Making and Monitoring processes. It also includes a concise summary table outlining key changes expected over the coming year.
In light of national planning policy’s continued emphasis on housing need and supply, this document—alongside our interactive map—offers valuable insight into the status and performance of adopted Local Plans. It provides a summary of each local authority’s Housing Land Supply position and Housing Delivery Test results, followed by an assessment of whether the presumption in favour of sustainable development currently applies.
We hope this update offers a useful overview of housing supply and delivery across London and the wider South East.
For any queries relating to the Local Plan process or the implications of the revised NPPF, please contact Greg Filmer, Matt Porter, David Bedford or Toby Hill at DHA Planning.
*Please Note: Data used within this Update document is correct to 21st July 2025 and is solely based on data, figures, and documents published by the Government and the relevant Local Planning Authorities. We highlight that the Plan Making and Monitoring process is ever evolving and therefore whilst this document provides a convenient high-level reference of whether the ‘presumption in favour of sustainable development’ applies, we would always encourage those viewing the document and Interactive Map to confirm the position of an Authority. Should you have any queries on the document or the position of a Local Authority, please do not hesitate to get in contact with DHA Planning.
