DHA provided transport planning and highways advice for the London Golf Club's major expansion project, known as The London Project, helping secure planning permission for a landmark leisure, hospitality and wellbeing destination in Kent.

The approved scheme includes a 240-bedroom hotel, 78 visitor lodges, a sports pavilion, tennis and padel courts, a wild swimming lake, a new driving range and golf academy, enhanced equestrian facilities, a Sports Turf Academy, and the refurbishment of the Grade II* listed South Ash Manor for events and weddings.
The site spans both Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council and Sevenoaks District Council, creating a complex planning and stakeholder environment. DHA worked closely with National Highways, Kent County Council Highways and the local planning authorities throughout the application process, proactively addressing technical matters and ensuring transport impacts were fully considered.
Through collaborative engagement and robust transport planning, all highways and transport issues were successfully resolved, resulting in no transport-related objections to the scheme.
The development will create around 400 jobs, deliver significant biodiversity and sustainability benefits, enhance tourism, and strengthen London Golf Club's position as a leading national and international sporting destination.

Paul joined DHA in 2014 having previously worked for Kent County Council and the Department for Transport in the fields of development planning, transport policy, capital projects and public transport.
