Wombourne High School
New teaching block for Wombourne High School, Wolverhampton.
Working closely with Reds10, one of the country’s leading off-site modular construction companies, DHA helped secure permission for a new teaching block for Wombourne High School near Wolverhampton.
The design of the new building will operate at net zero carbon as a result of its construction materials, operational energy performance with roof coverage of solar PV panels, wind catchers and a green roof.
DHA’s team worked closely with planning officers from the Pre-Application stage all the way through to determination, when permission was secured under delegated powers.
The project follows the successful application to the Department for Education (DfE), for a replacement school building to be operated by the Invictus Education Trust, which has eight education centres in its Staffordshire portfolio.
