Pease Pottage, Crawley
DHA secured permission for a new business park at Pease Pottage, near Crawley, delivering much-needed employment opportunities and supporting the continued growth of this strategically important location in Mid Sussex.

On behalf of Pease Pottage Ltd, DHA’s Gatwick team provided transport planning and highway design advice in support of the planning application to redevelop a draft allocated site. The proposals were carefully developed to respond to the site’s strategic location and its relationship with the surrounding highway network.
A key consideration was the potential impact of the development on the operation and capacity of Junction 11 of the M23. DHA worked closely with Highways England (now National Highways) to assess the transport implications of the proposals and negotiate an appropriate package of highway measures and mitigation to support the development.
The application was progressed through detailed discussions with the highway authority and other stakeholders, helping to demonstrate that the proposals could be accommodated without unacceptable impacts on the strategic road network.
The project demonstrates DHA’s ability to provide integrated transport planning and highway design advice for employment-led development in locations where access to the strategic road network is a key planning consideration.
