dha secure permission for Knole Academy in Sevenoaks

The Knole Academy was formed in 2010 as part of the Kent Batch 2 Academies programme and the creation of a new school site and buildings forms a crucial part of the delivery of this programme. The Academy comprises the former Wilderness School and Bradbourne School and currently operates from a split campus on the sites of each former school. The decision was taken to consolidate teaching provision on the Bradbourne site (known as Knole West).

DHA worked with Willmott Dixon, Studio E and Hunters Architects to secure full planning consent for the erection of new school buildings and associated facilities including:

  • Retention of existing temporary classrooms for a further temporary period.
  • Retention of existing outdoor sports pitches and creation of an All Weather Pitch.
  • Provision of a circulatory access  for coaches/buses.
  • New strategic landscape provision to create a campus style setting.
