New business park for Yalding
A resolution to grant permission secured by Maidstone Borough Council for a new business park on the former Syngenta site
Last year DHA secured consent for the renovation and upgrade of a former Syngenta office building in Yalding in Maidstone, and we are now pleased to have secured a further resolution to grant permission for a new business park on the wider site.
The scheme will deliver a much needed mix of employment uses including Industrial, Office and Warehousing on an allocated brownfield employment site and therefore rebalancing Maidstone’s significant housing growth with jobs.
The development will also contribute to accessibility enhancements at Yalding Railway Station and the upgrade of the nearby Maidstone Road/Hampstead Lane junction as part of a comprehensive Travel Plan.
Over 5 acres of habitat and landscaping will be introduced with enhanced boundaries, together with a 50m green corridor through the site ensuring the future protection of the Fenland to the south, an important natural habitat. The scheme will also promote and incorporate sustainable design in the fabric of the buildings as well as renewable technologies.
