12 Days of Christmas

As the year is finally drawing to a close we've been reflecting on the vast range of permissions DHA has secured in 2019.

  1. Cray Wanderers Football Club: An application for a new football ground, community facilities and affordable housing on Green Belt land in Chislehurst.

  2. New brewery and hoppers huts: Permission for a new brewery and accommodation within the Green Belt at Wateringbury.

  3. Maidstone Innovation Centre: A 37,000 sqft unit at KMC providing flexible office space for enterprises working in the healthcare and med-tech sectors.

  4. Bullers Wood School for Boys: A new 900-place secondary school in Bromley for the Department of Education 

  5. Deer House: A single dwelling inspired by a medieval deer leap, built in ancient parkland within High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Conservation area near Tenterden.

  6. New homes in Kings Hill: 166 new homes including 112 affordable homes for Clarion Housing Group. 

  7. Kemsley Paper Mill K4: DHA secured a Development Consent Order for DS Smith to construct a Combined Heat and Power Plant to power its recycled paper mill.

  8. Swanley Square: A town centre redevelopment including 300 residential units and 5,000m2 of retail, commercial and community floorspace.

  9. Equestrian Centre, Hertfordshire: An eight acre equestrian development within the Green Belt.

  10. Nurses Accommodation: Permission secured under delegated powers for 160 new staff accommodation units for key workers of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust Hospitals.

  11. Big Motoring World, Waltham Cross: Change of use of existing logistics building to car sales.

  12. Sutton Road, Maidstone: Reserved matters approval for 173 new homes for Countryside Properties after members unanimously approved the scheme.
