New surgery offers future-proof healthcare solution
Plans for a new GP surgery to serve the residents of Coxheath, surrounding villages, and to also support the future housing growth of Maidstone to the south have been approved.
Once built it will offer 10 consulting rooms, 5 nurse treatment rooms, a minor operations room and a pharmacy with facilities for up to 10 GPs and the practice’s other staff.
Located on an unallocated site outside the village, the new centre was developed with Greensands Health Care, The Orchard Medical Centre and local NHS partners.
Members recognised the role the new surgery will play in supporting the health needs of existing residents as well as helping to future-proof the impact of the area’s growing population. Maidstone is required to deliver 18,600 new homes by 2031.
The decision retains DHA’s 100% record of securing planning permissions for Alan Firmin Ltd, one of our longest standing clients, for more than 30 years.
