Simon Moon and Joely Hill feature in October's CILT Magazine

Back in June, two members of DHA Transport, Simon Moon and Joely Hill attended the 14th annual Transport Practioners Meeting to present their research papers.

These have now been published in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Magazine FOCUS Magazine.

Simon's paper "What is an acceptable walk distance?" (page 35) researched walking behaviour, how this differs depending on where residents live, cities vs. villages, and the ramifications with respect to what potential development sites are sustainable in terms of transport planning.

Joely's article "Can social network platforms influence residents' travel behaviour?" (pages 28/29) provides an insight into the power of social media in providing advice and acting as an effective communication tool for passengers.

The articles can be read here, or contact Simon and Joely to discuss them further.
