The popular village of Wye is on the edge of the Kent Downs AONB. dha have recently secured detailed planning permission on behalf of the site owner, for 25 dwellings including 9 affordable homes.
The site is a local plan allocation and the planning authority has resolved to grant permission in principle subject to a planning agreement. Due to local circumstances and the presence of the AONB numerous engagements with the community and planning officers took place before the application was submitted. The awkward shaped allocation had a notional capacity of 20 dwelling but OSG Architects proved it was able to take more. An archaeological investigation took place the year before and dha have applied for a short footpath diversion using the skills of Matthew Garvey, our Rights of Way expert.
