With the UK beer industry experiencing a resurgence and Kent being synonymous with hops, DHA has helped secure permission for a brewery and eight hoppers huts in Wateringbury, designed by TaylorHare Architects and with input from Heritage Consultants, Studio Sam Causer.

Acting on behalf of the English family, who can trace their farming history back to 1906, DHA helped secure approval for the development in the Green Belt which will restore the connection between the farm, its hops and beer production – a perfect closed loop.
The hoppers huts will be used for agricultural workers and tourists by providing accommodation. The owners have successfully established links with a number of charities and the huts will offer working breaks and country escapes for vulnerable groups, including ex-service personnel and the partially-sighted.
