DHA successfully secured permission for the first two phases of the redevelopment at Terry’s Lodge Farm, in West Kingsdown. The project involved the conversion of a former haybarn into three units, followed by approval to convert a grain store for a further three units from Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council.
The final piece of the planning jigsaw saw DHA cross over the border into Sevenoaks for the last application to demolish a former cattle shed, replacing it with three terraced units and two detached homes. DHA demonstrated that the new homes would make no greater impact in terms of massing and scale than the previous cattle shed.
DHA used the specialist support from Corylus Ecology, had a contamination report undertaken by Lustre Consulting, and the site was surveyed by Evans & Langford LLP.
The proposals were approved by the planners at Sevenoaks under delegated powers and construction started in early 2020 with the properties on the market by the end of the year.
