The site was the subject of a Pre-App meeting and Planning Performance Agreement between DHA and Maidstone Borough Council on behalf of Countryside Properties and Moat Housing. The green light was given under delegated powers.
Recognising the need to balance the environment and ecology, the reserved matters application set out detailed design and access for 55 new homes alongside an extensive ecological mitigation area with woodland and public space.
With the initial scheme almost completely built-out on the eastern edge of Coxheath, Countryside can now put in place the high-quality Grafik-designed residential development alongside the work of landscape architects Allen Pyke Associates and deliver new homes for Maidstone.
