Planning permission was granted by the London Borough of Southwark for the demolition of a former coach depot and construction of 22 dwellings, incorporating a four storey residential block on Evelena Road for affordable housing (including affordable wheelchair units), together with a row of 12 three storey terraced houses for private sale.
DHA also negotiated the Section 106 Agreement with the London Borough of Southwark. Work began in 2010, with Metropolitan Housing Trust as the selected RSL. Due to project financing and the physical form of the site, 45% of homes are affordable rather than 35% required in local planning policies.
