Alterations and conversion of the existing building will create 23 apartments on three upper floors with a mix of 12 one-bed, eight two-bed and three three-bed apartments thanks to the scheme’s design by Canterbury-based On Architecture.

The site itself is surrounded by three storey buildings. The existing access onto River Lawn Road which extends into a parking area will be modified to create five new parking spaces, creating 16 spaces in total. Each apartment will have its own cycle spaces, including eight individual cycle lockers in the undercroft parking and 15 vertical cycle spaces by the main entrance.

DHA undertook the planning and viability work securing an off-site payment for the affordable housing thanks to the site’s vacant building credit.
