The redevelopment proposals, which included a new teaching block, will allow the school to expand from a two form entry to a three form entry, providing vital school places for children in this area of Kent.
DHA Transport were involved with the scheme from an early stage to address existing local concerns over traffic congestion and road safety. DHA Transport worked closely with Kent County Council Highways and Transportation team to prepare a solution which not only mitigated the impacts of the scheme but also provided the opportunity for future development on the neighbouring site. This was achieved through a revised site layout and the provision of a link road to aid the effective drop off and collection of pupils away from the public highway.
Through a robust evidence base the proposals were recommended for approval by the Planning Officer and permitted at planning committee.
