Tovil Design Brief - Maidstone
Following DHA’s success in securing outline permission for the reclamation and restoration of a former ragstone quarry and domestic waste tip for residential use at Tovil in Maidstone, DHA Urban Design submitted a Design Brief and Masterplan for the redevelopment of the site, a publication welcomed and approved by the Local Parish Council & Borough Council. The document set out the design parameters for development in terms of access, scale, design and sustainability. As part of the formulation of the Design Brief, DHA Urban Design carried out full site analysis and contextual studies, working closely with the architect to achieve an appropriate master plan making the most efficient use of the site and its possibilities.
