Haymarket - Leicester
This former department store site formed the core of a land assembly including numerous other properties, roads, rights of way and other interests. The design, by Barber Casanova Ruffles of Cambridge, produced a dynamic regeneration of the area assisted by radical transport and street improvements by Leicester City Council. Marks and Spencer are the anchor tenant and top retail names occupy the other units. The outdated Haymarket Centre opposite was subsequently refurbished by the client on the strength of the improved footfall.
DHA provided planning consultancy services including Local Authority negotiations, documentary research, application submissions, road closure orders and archaeology.
