Cornbow - Halesowen

DHA achieved a resolution to grant planning permission for a major extension to a West Midlands shopping centre in only 3 months. The town centre regeneration scheme provided an extension to the Cornbow shopping centre, Halesowen on the site of various derelict and underused buildings. The scheme featured a two-level Asda superstore together with a new town centre multi storey car park and improved customer facilities, and was designed to link into an adjacent proposal for a new town centre bus station. DHA also helped to secure the swift dismissal of an application for judicial review of the decision. The extension is currently under construction and is due to open for trading in late 2008.
