Barnham - Sussex
DHA and Hillreed Homes secured planning permission for a scheme of 14 dwellings in Barnham, West Sussex. The site is formed by the rear of five large gardens of properties along a residential street within a Special Character Area in this desirable village. The dwellings offer high quality family homes which reference the local vernacular through the use of design features and traditional materials. Prior to the involvement of DHA two similar schemes for the site had been refused at Committee and seen appeals dismissed. In conjunction with Hillreed we were able to put forward a scheme acceptable to Committee Members by virtue of its good design, maintenance of the appearance and character of the locality and the provision of an appropriate level of open space within the development.
