Historically, DHA were involved in producing a planning application for the development of 64 holiday lodges at The Hop Farm and worked with the Local Planning Authority at a Public Inquiry to secure the planning permission.

DHA secured a number of consents, both retrospective and for new proposals. Many of these have comprised works to the Listed Buildings, including the installation of a disabled lift, the erection of a pergola, and the creation of new display areas under existing decking to the front of one of the Oasts, which helps promote the museum and displays within.

DHA secured permission for a new wedding gazebo offering photography opportunities for wedding functions, and for the redevelopment of the entrance facility to provide retail space for local produce and businesses related to Hop Farm functions, a new tea room, and a garden centre to the front of the site.
