When David Aspin, the owner of Munroe K, originally acquired the site from Arlington Properties it comprised approximately 250,000 sq ft of office floor space. Since then DHA have obtained planning permission for several new office buildings for almost 500,000 sq ft of new floor space including multi-storey car parks, underground car parks, a leisure complex, crèche, cafeteria and sophisticated vehicle recognition systems to control access and egress. DHA has also prepared the White Rose Office Park Green Travel Plan and are working with Leeds City Council to develop further green travel initiatives.
Since acquisition the White Rose Office park has developed into the largest employment site in Leeds with over 5,200 employees working for a range of blue chip organisations including HSBC, O2, West Yorkshire Police, HMRC, Johnson and Johnson and WSP Group.
The office park is strikingly contemporary in design with high quality hard and soft landscaping. The site has also been transformed by the removal of significant areas of surface car parking into multi-storey and underground car parks and is now regarded as an exemplar for modern office park development.
