The scheme comprises a mix of two bedroom terraced houses, two bedroom chalet bungalows, and three bedroom semi-detached houses. The scheme includes the provision of 33 car spaces including visitor spaces with garages, surface level parking in front of these, and dedicated off-street parking in garage courts.
The design, based on a traditional vernacular was produced by our in house designers to meet our client’s requirements and to satisfy the requirements of the local planning authority.
The design mass, height and the layout of the scheme was examined in great detail by the local planning authority due to the site's sensitive location on the edge of the built-up area and its close proximity to the Green Belt and the adjacent Area of Local Landscape Importance. In addition there were issues of amenity, noise, overlooking, ecology, contamination and highways impact to consider in the context of the nearby dwellings in Brompton Road.
